ICS4Schools mission is to create an environment where students are accounted for and safely released back to their parents. To accomplish this goal, it’s essential that ICS4Schools is a safe place to store student's names, grades and parent’s names, and that School Districts are in complete control over how that information is shared.

To guide our development of ICS4Schools, and as our privacy commitment to you, we’ve developed the following Privacy Principles.

  • We don't own the content you provide — School Districts and their schools do.

  • We will never advertise to students, create student profiles, or sell any user data.

  • We use security industry best practices and routinely monitor our systems to protect you.

  • We are transparent about our practices and will notify you if things change.

  • We are COPPA and FERPA compliant.

 

This Privacy Policy governs the use of data collected by our websites at ICS4Schools, and the ICS4Schools Application (collectively •the ICS4Schools Service", "the Service" or "ICS4Schools"). This includes personally identifiable information that we collect while creating an account.
Any data collected by ICS4Schools that can be linked back to an individual student is considered "School District Data".

Who Does ICS4Schools Collect Information From?

ICS4Schools only collects data from PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, and Aires, student accounting programs.

What Information Does ICS4Schools Collect?

Account Information: ICS4SchooIs only collect information that includes the student narne; last name first, first name second. A number referring to the student’s grade. And the parent/guardian names of who can pick up the student.

Communications: ICS4Schools collects information from only three student accounting systems.

How Does ICS4Schools Use this Information?

We only use this information to provide our services to School Districts and site administrators and educators. For example we use this information to:

  • Allow you to access and use our service by verifying your identity Provide teachers, schools, with customer support.

  • Notify you about activity on and updates to your account.

  • Research, understand, and analyze trends of users to improve and develop new features for our products.

  • Promote new ICS4Schools products and services to teachers, administrators, and school district personnel.

  • Investigate, prevent, and detect activities on our service that we believe may violate the law or applicable regulations. We may, at the request of a school, investigate accounts to determine whether they comply with school policies.

In What Limited Circumstances May ICS4SchooIs Need to Share My Information?

We do not sell or share any Student Data. Ever!

How Does ICS4Schools Handle Abandoned Accounts?

ICS4Schools reserves the right to terminate accounts that have not been accessed by the teacher or school district associated with the account for a period of more than one year. Prior to terminating an abandoned account, ICS4Schools will notify the school district associated with the account by email and provide an opportunity to download an archive copy of recorded information.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

ICS4Schools may from time to time make changes to this Privacy Policy to account for changes to our practices or applicable law. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy that we believe will materially affect your rights, we will notify you by email about these changes and post a notice to our service. If you continue to use our service after you receive notice of changes to this Privacy Policy, you will accept these changes.

How to Delete Your ICS4Schools Account

If you would like to delete your ICS4Schools account or any content submitted to ICS4Schools, please send an ernail to info@ics4schools.com. If you request that your account or any content submitted to ICS4Schools be deleted, ICS4Schools may still retain information for up to 90 days to provide customer support and prevent accidental deletion.

If you are a teacher or school administrator, please be aware that FERPA requires us to retain student education records once a valid request to inspect those records has been made.
